> Catching up!
Ok my last update was some months ago and plenty has been happening since then. The Circuit of Ireland didn't go to plan as we broke a balljoint on the 5th stage putting us out of the rally. On the upside we set fastest time on ss1 and were lying 3rd at the time so we can take some small positives from the rally!

I then had to go into study mode! Getting my final exmas out of the way was a huge relief and lets me think about rallying again! At the start of June i navigated for Drew Stewart on the Newry and Mourne rally. It wasn't the 1st time I've sat with other drivers, I've co-driven for Toni Kelly and Conor Harvey before, but I don't think I'll be making a habit of it!

The rally went well for Drew and myself, finishing 6th o/a, mark 2's don't do much for me, but that car impressed me with the way it handled the Newry lanes, even mixing it with some of those with "bigger" engines.

In terms of my own rallying, we haven't continued with the fiesta series, Killarney and Donegal were going to be too expensive to be competitive. However it is my intention to go to the Ulster rally at the end of August, which is based in Antrim this year. As it is my "home" rally, it's an ideal oppertunity to give something back to those who have supported me over the past 2 years. I will update this site with more info on the rally as I get it.

Looking ahead even beyond the Ulster, we are working on being out in the NI championship, perhaps at the end of this year, but more likely next year. It is unlikely that it will be in the fiesta ST, the whole fiesta ST challenge is changing as of 2010, so we are beginning to think beyond that type of car. The NI series is growing, and with tv coverage, the championship is attractive in this recession period.

So that's everyone fully up to speed, when i know more about the Ulster/co-drivers/2010/ car....i'll stick it on here!

Drive carefully,

Liam
