> rallying...and lots of it

After Swansea we decided to do some local rallys, it's always nice to come home to rally even though the forests are different to say the least!
The weekend after Swansea we went to the Davagh Sunset rally. I had the famous Seamus Donnelly calling the notes for this rally and it proved to be an enjoyable day out. 2 stages run twice meant it was quite short but a good rally and the stages didnt cut up that bad, we were probably benefitting from the reverse seeding. Thanks to Seamus we managed to win the class that day...I hope we get to do it again sometime!
No rest for the wicked and the following weekend was the Dogleap stages. Quite a few fiestas entered this rally so it was good to have a benchmark as to how well we were going. This rally was quite tough, with its stage mileage being slightly longer than I normally do. I changed co-driver again, this time i had Steven Park shouting some instructions. Steven actually works on the car at every rally aswell as being 3 times NI class 6 winning co-driver with some unknown driver (not that he ever mentions it) so i was happy having him there.
After some close stage times, some of the fiesta drivers having problems we managed to win our class that day too, it meant quite abit to me actually because it now means I've won my class on 3 of NI's major gravel rallys, the dogleap, the lakeland and the Bushwacker.
Then next up....Lurgan Park only this time we were "00" car, meaning we weren't being timed, just driving round infront of the main field. It was strange going to a rally and not having to worry as such, also quite refreshing for the boys aswell, they looked like they were enjoying it as much as i was. That was my first time in Lurgan Park and it's true what they say...it's a scary place! Thankfully we avoided all the trees and brought the car back in one piece. Congratulations to the North Armagh motor club for putting on a perfect showcase rally, long may that rally continue.
So that's you fully up to speed....don't think I've ever had to write as much...a reflection on the rallying that we're doing! There is a bit of a break now as the next FST round is undecided so when i know what's happening...you will too!
